PaellaDoc is free for personal use — always, no expiration. It ships with what you need for personal projects, side products, learning, and open-source work. Pro adds more features and higher limits, built for professional / commercial use (paid freelance work, your own commercial products, teams inside a company). The Founding 50 program gives Pro Lifetime free forever to the first 50 individual builders who ship something with PaellaDoc and share it publicly. Individuals only. Companies need a commercial license (Team or Enterprise) — that one is paid.

How to submit.

  • 1. Download PaellaDoc Free for personal use — always, no expiration. paelladoc.com/#download.
  • 2. Build something Any size, any domain. Toy apps welcome. Real apps even more welcome. The bar is «you actually built it with PaellaDoc», not «production-grade everything».
  • 3. Post it in ./show-and-tell Publicly on the forum: what you built, how you used PaellaDoc (engine, method packs, what worked, what broke), evidence (screenshot, screen recording, or repo link), and — required — your .paella file attached to the post (your "paella": the artifact that proves you built it with PaellaDoc).
  • 4. Mention @jlcases In your forum post. I review within 48h. Soft curation by approval order, not race-condition by timestamp.
  • 5. You're Founding 50 Pro Lifetime activated. 🥇 Founding 50 badge on the forum. Listed at the top of /showcase. Zoom call scheduled. Done.

The cap.

The program closes when 50 slots are granted OR on June 30, 2026 — whichever happens first. After that:

  • The door closes No second Founding cohort by default. Founding 50 is forever Founding 50.

Fine print.

  • Individual tier only Founding Member is a personal license. It does not include Team features (multi-seat collaboration, shared workspaces) or Enterprise features (SSO, on-prem, custom contracts). Those require separate licenses.
  • One live activation, via PaellaDoc ID How it works: you send me your PaellaDoc ID and I send back a key that activates that installation. Just that one. If you uninstall, the key is lost — but since your Founding seat is tied to the email on your forum account, I can issue a new one against that same email. One live activation per person at any time; same forum email = same person. I don't issue parallel keys to the same email (that would mean sharing the seat with third parties, which isn't allowed).
  • Tied to you, not your employer The Founding badge follows your personal forum account. If you change jobs in two years, you keep it. It's a relationship with you, not with your company.

For companies.

Founding Member is for individual builders. The program does not apply to companies. If your company wants to adopt PaellaDoc — for internal team use, on client work, in a commercial product — it needs a commercial license (Team or Enterprise).
